Carbon Compensation with Gold Standard VER (GS VER)
Gold Standard VER (GS VER) are high-quality carbon credits, verified by the Gold Standard Foundation. The verification by the Gold Standard Foundation is granted to projects with high social and environmental achievements only. We exclusively select carbon credits that are based on renewable energy sources.
Currently, we use Gold Standard VER carbon credits from the hydro power project Nam Hong in Viet Nam. You find details about the climate protection project Nam Hong in the Gold Standard data base, registration number 961. You can download a summary of the climate protection project here:

Additional Donation to Naturefund e.V.
Customers, who compensate their CO2 emissions with these carbon credits, grant an additional donation to the NGO Verein Naturefund e.V. with its seat in Wiesbaden, Germany. The value of the donation is 3,25 Euro per compensated ton of CO2 emissions. Naturefund uses the donation for the purchase of land to preserve the habitat of animals and plants. Naturefund purchases the land and arranges for its afforestation or reforestation.
Currently, the donations are used for the project "Niedermoor" in Bavaria. Together with LA'BIO! and in cooperation with the "Donaumoos-Zweckverband", Naturefund preserves and renaturates 57.033 m² of a former low moor along the river Danube. For details, please see the documentation below.
